Welcome to Carna Test Platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Carna Test Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Services
Carna Test Platform provides:
- Placement Tests: Standardized CEFR-aligned English proficiency assessments
- Custom Tests: Tools for organizations to create and administer their own assessments
- Results & Analytics: CEFR-level scoring, certificates, and performance analytics
- Organization Management: Multi-tenant workspace for managing participants and tests
3. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Organization administrators are responsible for their members' compliance with these Terms
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, reproduce, or distribute test content from Placement Tests by Carna
- Attempt to access test answers or manipulate test results
- Use automated tools to take tests on behalf of others
- Upload harmful content or interfere with platform operations
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
5. Intellectual Property
- Our Content: All test materials, platform code, and branding are owned by Carna and protected by copyright
- Your Content: You retain ownership of custom tests you create. By uploading content, you grant us a license to host and deliver it through our platform
- Test Results: Results belong to both the participant and the administering organization as specified in the organization's subscription
6. Subscription and Payment
- Free plans are subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if no tests have been administered
7. Data Processing
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (GDPR, KVKK). Organizations using our platform act as data controllers for their participants' data, and Carna acts as a data processor.
8. Service Availability
- We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with 30 days' notice
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
- You may close your account at any time through your account settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our data retention policy
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
